To the RAL Varsity Girls Basketball Team on their overtime win over the Columbia River Chieftains 53 to 48!

Also a Big Congratulations to Eastyn Reeves for reaching the milestone of 1,000 career points on December 27, 2018!

She was honored with a game ball painted with the 1000 Points, her name and the date to commemorate this milestone in RA Long History!!!

Science Olympiad – Looking to test your skills in the medical field, robotics, computers, reptiles, vehicles, and more?  Join Science Olympiad and visit room 130 after school today or Thursday.

FCCLA meeting Thursday in room 114 at 2:30pm. If you plan to attend the field trip on January 17th, you must attend the January 10th meeting. Officers, please report to room 114 on Wednesday immediately after school.

Hey you!  Yeah you, I’m talking to you!  Did you miss the yearbook pre-order deadline!  Well   you’re in luck!  We are re-opening pre-orders through January 23!  Here’s a warning though…  if you do not pre-order, there is a very good chance you’ll miss out on the awesome 2018/19 yearbook!   Don’t miss out, pay for your yearbook in the ASB office today!

Do you love zumba? Are you ready to boogie? Saturday, January 12th from 2-4pm is a zumbathon!  This is a fundraiser for drama club. Tickets are $15 for two hours of Zumba. Held in the R. A. Long  gym, tickets will be available at the door or from your favorite theatre friend.

    If you are in need of a winter jacket, please talk to a trusted adult in the building, or stop by  the career center. Keli and Bre have jackets, hats, and gloves available for students.

PSAT Testers…….Score reports are in. You can pick them up in the Guidance office.

Anyone interested in trying out for Fastpitch this year we are starting workouts today:  Pitchers and Catchers in the cage 5 to 6 every Tuesday and Thursday  All players 6 to 7 in the cage Tuesday and Thursday and All players in the weight room 7 to 8 Monday thru Friday Attendance is strongly encouraged. In the cage we wear long sleeves, long pants and tennis shoes.  See you there, if you have any questions see Coach Godinho in room 119

Champions are made in the off season.  The weight room is open after school every day for any athletes who are looking to start getting in shape for the spring season. Coach Carey will be there every day to assist with any training. The spring season is less than 2 months away, take advantage of this opportunity to be ready for a great spring sports season.

 

Need service to school points?  We are looking for students to run the clocks for the Boys C-Team Basketball games at Monticello.  Please see Jodi Fowler in the Career Center to sign up today.

 

Service to School – Tim the custodian is looking for volunteers to help clean up after winter sporting events in the Gym.  You will get in the event for free. You can earn Service to school on the clean-up of the gym.  Please sign up in the Career Center

 

YOU WILL EARN SERVICE TO SCHOOL HOURS.  We have volunteering opportunities available at our Middle and High Schools. Times available during and after school.  Sign up in the career center
