Dana Charles Brown was born on November 1, 1945 in Spokane, Washington to Charles and Virginia (Capps) Brown.

Growing up in Spokane, he got his first exposure to theatre in Dale Brannon's theatre program.  After serving two years in the Navy during the Vietnam War, Dana went to college. He earned an AA Degree at Spokane Falls Community College. He received his Bachelors of Education and Theatre through Eastern Washington University, and later his Masters Degree in Humanities at Western Oregon University.

In 1979, he started at R.A. Long High School where he taught Drama and English.  He left a lasting impression and his legacy continues on in our drama program today.
