Scholarship Deadlines

There are not any new scholarships for you. All scholarship applications will be due very soon. Don't miss out on your chance to fund your future!

New Scholarships

  • Believe in Me Scholarship- For PNW graduates who will be a first generation student in college, university, or trade school. Deadline May 15.  https://www.believeinme.org/scholarships
  • Women in Technology Scholarship- For graduating female students who plan to study computer science, information management, or other IT related fields.  https://trustvip.com/wits-program-faqs/
  • AFSA Scholarship- For graduating seniors attending college or trade school. https://www.afsascholarship.org/secondchance/
  • College Scholarships- Just a reminder that the college you have chosen likely has their own scholarships. Make sure you've checked their website for instructions on how to apply!

FAFSA/WASFA UPDATES

If you have not done so yet, please make sure you have a FSA ID account created. We will be applying for FAFSA very soon, and you MUST have an individual account created. They take 24-48 hours to be validated, so you CAN NOT wait until it's time to apply. You need an outside email address (NOT your school email) and your Social Security Number. Get it done.  https://studentaid.gov/

 

FAFSA is opening on October 1st! FAFSA can help you pay for college, trade school, and job training programs. To prepare, please have the following things:

  • Social Security number
  • An appropriate email address that is not your school email

Your adults will need to have:

  • Social security numbers
  • Tax information

General Upcoming Events & Announcements

  • Army- Thursday, 5/7. In the cafeteria during lunch periods.
  • Try-A-Trade- If you signed up, please return your permission slip to me asap. 
  • National Guard- Wednesday, 5/13. In the cafeteria during lunch periods. 
  • LCC Advising Appointments- Friday, 5/15. If you have completed your LCC onboarding, you will be scheduled for an appointment to get your fall schedule!
  • Lunch with the Air Force- Come enjoy a tasty lunch (provided) and learn about a future with the US Air Force. May 19th during both lunches. Sign up sheets are in the Career Center.
  • Senior Oral Presentations- Wednesday, 5/20. Schedule to be released soon, but make sure you are available from 2-5pm.

Summer Opportunities for Underclassmen

  • Stem Career Academy- The Foundation for Water and Energy Education is hosting a 4 day learning experience at Centralia College. Students who are entering 9th-12th grade next year are welcome to apply. You will have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, visit a fish hatchery and farm, build a hydrogen car, explore careers, and build your pathway.
