R.A. Long High School becomes the 5th WA State School to be validated as a National Demonstration School.
AVID National Demonstration Schools are exemplary models of the AVID College Readiness System. There are currently 203 AVID National Demonstration Schools in the United States. Demonstration Schools undergo a rigorous validation process and are required to be re-validated every few years to ensure high levels of implementation, with quality and fidelity to AVID strategies schoolwide.
