Events to Note!

• Herff Jones delivery for cap & gown:  Thursday April 2nd during both lunches.
• Senior Class Meeting:  Friday May 8^th during Advisory in the auditorium.
• Senior Oral Presentations:  Wednesday May 20^th 2:00-5:00pm.  When the schedule is posted be sure to check for your assigned time.
• Senior Department Awards:  Wednesday May 27^th time TBD in the RAL Auditorium.  This is a social time for parents and seniors to visit with faculty and friends.  Dress should be appropriate for an afternoon spring reception.  At the end of the awards program, there will be refreshments in the front hallway.
• Senior Awards Assembly:  Friday May 29^th, be there at 8:30 am in the RAL Auditorium.  Many community representatives will be presenting scholarships and awards to seniors.  Parents are welcome to attend!
• Senior Prom:  Saturday May 30th
• Graduation Requirements:  All graduation requirements must be passed by noon on Wednesday, June 3rd as well as all fines must be cleared or you will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.
• Senior Check Out:  Wednesday June 3rd, during 6^th period you will be given a check out sheet.  Check out will continue the next day, Thursday June 4^th Periods 1 through 5.  Final clearance is 1:30pm in the cafeteria.
• Baccalaureate:  Thursday June 4^th at 7:00 pm in the RAL Auditorium.  This is an optional religious service sponsored by the Longview Ministerial Association honoring the graduating seniors.  Wear your gowns (but not your cap) and meet in the auditorium at 6:15pm.  This is a formal affair.
• Grad Walk:  Friday June 5^th at 9:30am. 
• Commencement Practice:  Friday June 5^th time TBD. Participation is required to walk at graduation.
• Commencement:  Saturday June 6^th at 10:00am
• Diplomas:  Pick up your actual diploma right after the graduation ceremony
• Final transcripts:  During the week of June 22nd, final transcripts will be forwarded to the college/university/trade schools.  To have your final transcript sent to your college/university/trade school, please complete the google sheet during the Senior Class Meeting on May 9^th.
• Awards & Scholarships:  Be sure you keep us posted on any scholarships you receive (even those you turn down).  We like to recognize seniors who have received scholarships and will print these in the commencement program.  Forward your scholarship info to Sarah Solinger ssolinger@longviewschools.org 
• RAL Scholarship Funds:  If you receive an RAL Scholarship you will need to provide your 1^st quarter college grades and college student ID number to Jaimie Barchus in the ASB Office in order for her to send your RAL Scholarship funds to the college/university.  Instructions will be provided in a letter that you will receive upon notification of receiving an RAL Scholarship.
